on .

The San Diego Bowl Game Association, producers of the Bridgepoint Education Holiday Bowl and San Diego County Credit Union Poinsettia Bowl football games, announced today the launch of a unique marketing program that will give fans an inside look at each games' past, present and future. It's a ten-week program that starts the week of October 15 and continues through December 23.

"We are so proud to be introducing this ground-breaking marketing effort around San Diego's bowl games," said John Wertz, president of the 2012 bowl game association. "During a critical time of year for selling tickets to our games, we will be provided the opportunity to tell the impressive story of our two bowl games. I think our fans will find the ten weeks of programming to be informative and entertaining."

The network will be distributed via three primary platforms – Bowl Game TV, Bowl Game Radio and The Bowl Game Review and each week will offer a different theme.

Bowl Game TV will air four times weekly on Channel 4 San Diego. Bruce Binkowski and Mark Neville, executive director and associate executive director of the bowl association respectively, will co-host the 30-minute shows that will air in HD on Tuesdays at 9 p.m., Thursdays at 5:30 p.m., Saturdays at 9 p.m. and Sundays at 5:30 p.m. The show is being produced by San Diego-based Loma Media.

"We're proud to continue our long relationship with the San Diego Bowl Game Association," said Dennis Morgigno, station manager of Channel 4 San Diego. "Bowl Game TV is the perfect vehicle to get our community ready for two of the best bowl games in the country."

Bowl Game Radio is slated to air twice weekly; Fridays at 2 p.m. on ESPN 1700 and Saturdays at 10 a.m. on XX 1090. The one-hour show, also co-hosted by Binkowski and Neville, will feature insightful features, team selection updates, and intriguing interviews with some of the biggest names in college football, past and present.

"We're thrilled to work with the San Diego Bowl Game Association to launch the bowl media network," said Norman Feuer, vice-president and market manager for Broadcast Company of the Americas. "As San Diego's Sports Leader, it's only fitting to align ourselves with two of the region's premier events and a first class sports organization. We look forward to growing our partnership with this great San Diego institution."
